Four Exams (Not Six)

Until recently, you had to pass six exams to certify as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2013 Master. Now you need to pass only four exams to become a Master. If you’ve already passed some MOS 2013 exams, you may need only one or two more certifications to automatically certify as a Master.

Earning this credential shows employers that you’ve gained broader, deeper Microsoft Office expertise. As a MOS 2013 Master, you will stand head and shoulders above the rest.

FAQ
Q: Why did the MOS 2013 Master certification requirements change?

A: The MOS 2007 and MOS 2010 Master certifications each require four exams, with each Expert exam counting as one exam. For MOS 2013, the Expert exams were each broken out into two exams. This increased the number of exams required for MOS 2013 Master certification from four to six. To provide more flexibility, Microsoft and Certiport reduced the number of required exams for MOS 2013 Master certification back to four, with three track choices.

Q: When did the updated requirements take effect?

A: The new MOS 2013 Master certification requirements went into effect on January 5, 2015.

Q: If a test candidate meets the requirements for MOS 2013 Master certification under the new requirements but not the old requirements, will he or she be awarded Master certification?

A: Yes, as of January 5, 2015. The new Master certification will be visible on the test candidate's transcript on Certiport.com.

Q: Will the Master certification credential show which track the test candidate chose to earn Master certification?
